Mr Me Too: Native Ryme Hit Back!
Man, this can’t have come at worst time. I just begin the Scar Non Series of blogs, and get interrupted by these guys replying back. I was somewhat tempted to leave it alone, but I predict this is going to be entertaining.
They also left a little something for us on their blog, but addressing that is just way tooo much material, so we’ll focus on the comment left for us on this blog:
For those who missed it, C-Roc of Native Rymes’ intelligent Incohrent Babble of a reply:
In response to:
“Ignorant Shit pt 3 – NATIVE RYME EXACTLY WHY AUSSIE HIP HOP IS GARBAGE” Posted by an “Un-named person” lol
I see you’s all been busy boys huh?
I like your posting on here talkin shit about Native Ryme. It shows how long you all been in the actual true hip hop scene lol
Native Ryme been around over 14 years with never a release from the group due to the inner politics, and when I say inner politics, I mean inner BLACK politics of Australia.
We have not felt as though we’ve wanted to release up till now because of our problems in the Aboriginal Community here in Australia. And, as clean an well thought up your response to us is,……..I know who would of exactly sent this statement on here (Ignorant Shit pt 3 – NATIVE RYME EXACTLY WHY AUSSIE HIP HOP IS GARBAGE).

In light of this decision pre-sold ticket prices have been altered to $40.00 with on the door tickets set at $50.00.
Both Shake N Break and Sounds Boutique seek quality artists to raise the level of experience for our patrons. The core ethos of Zero Hour collective is to support events of high caliber and due to the cross-over bookings associated with the artists in our 4th announcement, we are delighted to again demonstrate by action, and not words, our commitment to the evolution of Brisbane’s entertainment scene. Putting our money where our mouth is means we are prepared to support the artists and promoters & supporters via a reduction in our combined ticket price. This is to respect the ticket pricing and agreement between Shake N Break, their patrons and the artists who work endlessly for the dance community, who will substantially benefit from our offering.
The absorption of Shake N Break artists into Sounds Boutique will accommodate both parties and demonstrate the Australian fair-go attitude rightly due for an Australia Day event.

Scar Non? The Aussie Accent Issue Pt 1
**UPDATE** it occurred to me that the comments relating to are based on observations, discussion and 2nd hand information (2nd or 3rd hand, no more degrees of separation). So if someone has actual first hand info that proves me wrong, I’m open to it. But I doubt that somewhat.
Scar Non? def: Aussie ‘ocha’ slang for whats going on? (Say it out loud fast)
There’s nothing quite like blogging at 2 am, chewing on some Beef Jerky. Especially when chewing on my salted snack is somewhat pertinent to the topic.
I mentioned last post that the Aussie Hip Hop community is divided over the accents used by rappers in Australia, to the point where many artists will not collaborate with each other, or in some cases, discontinue 90% complete projects. (Weapon X & M-Phaze’s Illumini project is reportedly such a casualty)
This is some fucking ridiculous shit.
First of all, why on earth are we arguing over voice tones? No Aussie artists, outside of the Hoodies, are making substantial profit, hell, even making profits from hip hop here anyway! Most of your favorite artists are either on centrelink (Bliss n Eso) or work another job (Ken Hell, M-Phazes, Everyone else you can think of). So this is beef over fucking hobbies.
Woah dude, you can’t collect stamps basketball cards in a photo album, you need the offical NBA collectors Album! You’re not a real collecter.

100% Aussie Beef: The Accent Issue
This post is going to be spread over several parts, because there’s a lot i want to cover, and I want to do it right.
The Premise: Australian ‘rappers’ are divided into two groups, those who rap in Aussie accents, and those who don’t.
Seriously. This shit runs deep, and many productive musical friendships have been divided over this.
Yes, somehow in the midst of all the fame and fortune, the Aussie hip-hop scene forgot about the music, and started arguing over each other’s tone of voice, be it annoying or fake.
This is going to be a power rant, look for Part One on the other side of the weekend.

‘Misunderstood’ The Cristian Alexanda Story
This ain’t a diss song, it’s a real song
So apparently Cristian isn’t too happy about a few thing I said recently. He made his feeling somewhat clear with this feedback:
‘FUCK YOU, Funny shit bitch, but FUCK YOU, again and again, If I wasn’t me I’d probably hate on me to, but I am me, so FUCK YOU, I’m only tring to do my best and faggots like you with a bad opinion piss me off, JA ROCKS, before 50, you thought so to, but your just a dick rida with no talent so crawl back in your hole before one of us sees you out and FUCKS YOU UP,THAT GOES TO ALL THE HATERS, GET AT ME‘
Well, at least he found it funny. Real recognize Real.
What concerns me is how he found this post. This isn’t a very popular blog, and we certainly have not been doing much in the way to promote it thus far. Then it hit me:
You were ‘Googling’ yourself, weren’t you Cristian? Oh my. Wanted to know what people were saying about you? Trying to feel out the buzz?
This must have been disapointing.

Ignorant Shit pt 3 – NATIVE RYME EXACTLY WHY AUSSIE HIP HOP IS GARBAGE

I honestly thought I was done with Ignorant Shit series for a while, but the sheer level of stupid fuckery displayed by these guys has raised the stupidity bar so high (or low?) that no other title fits.
Read this blog post from http://www.myspace.com/nativeryme:

It’s gonna be a long night.
First of all, WHO THE FUCK ARE NATIVE RYME? This is the first I’ve heard of these guys, and I live in Brisbane as well. Shit, I get myself to show after show of average fucking terrible ‘underground’ aussie rap performances in Queensland, and they’ve never came up. Damn, these guys aren’t getting the props they deserve.
